Overview

Everyday Life is an independent online life insurance broker, founded in 2018 and in operation since 2019, with its office in Somerville, Massachusetts. Its pitch is a quick, anonymous process: you answer a short questionnaire, its software recommends a policy type and amount, and you see real quotes without giving a phone number or email. You can then apply online, in many cases without a medical exam, or talk to a licensed agent. Its agents are available weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central.

The company says its founders come from finance and technology rather than insurance, and that its recommendations are based on financial planning research. Jake Tamarkin is CEO, according to Coverager. It is privately held. Coverager reported a strategic investment from American Enterprise Ventures, the venture arm of American Enterprise Group (now Wellabe); the article does not give an amount or date, and Everyday Life says it is "unbought and unmanaged by any insurers."

The site is still selling as of October 24, 2026.

Who issues the policy

Everyday Life's terms of use say it is "a licensed independent insurance broker" and does "not underwrite any insurance policy." Each policy is issued and paid by the insurance company you apply to. Its "Our Plans" page (October 2026) lists four insurer groups:

  • Fidelity Life: RAPIDecision Life no-exam term and RAPIDecision final expense and guaranteed issue whole life
  • Banner Life, and William Penn in New York (the page describes the companies but does not list specific products)
  • TruStage: simplified issue term (issued by CMFG Life), Advantage whole life (MEMBERS Life) and guaranteed acceptance whole life (CMFG Life)
  • Assurity

Everyday Life says it offers more online products from more insurers than any other brokerage. We could not verify that claim; the published panel is four insurer groups.

How buying works

The company describes three steps:

  1. Get a recommendation. A two- to three-minute anonymous questionnaire about your health, finances and family produces a recommended policy and price, which you can adjust.
  2. Apply. Each insurer runs its own application. Everyday Life's examples show 10-minute online applications with no exam in states such as Pennsylvania, California and Florida, and 30-minute phone applications in New York, where an exam is more likely for older applicants.
  3. Activate. Approval often comes in seconds on instant-decision products; you then pay and coverage starts. If the insurer declines you, Everyday Life says it will offer a back-up plan.

The company says fewer than 10% of its applications end up needing a medical exam, usually for larger amounts, and that it had an 88% application approval rate over the past 12 months. Those are the company's own figures. It advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee, which matches the free-look period on several of the TruStage products it sells.

Products and limits

The limits below are the insurers' product terms as Everyday Life lists them in October 2026:

Product Issuer Amounts Ages
RAPIDecision Life (no-exam term, 10/15/20/30 years) Fidelity Life $50,000 to $2 million 18-65
RAPIDecision Simplified Issue Final Expense whole life Fidelity Life $5,000 to $35,000 50-85
RAPIDecision Guaranteed Issue whole life (graded benefit, years 1-3) Fidelity Life $5,000 to $25,000 50-85
Simplified issue term (premiums rise in five-year bands, to age 80) TruStage (CMFG Life) $5,000 to $300,000 18-69
Advantage whole life (no exam) TruStage (MEMBERS Life) $5,000 to $100,000 50-85
Guaranteed acceptance whole life TruStage (CMFG Life) $2,000 to $20,000 45-80

The homepage headline says coverage of up to $100 million is available; the site does not say which insurer or product that figure refers to. The site also offers a mortgage protection calculator and markets term coverage for SBA loans.

Note the trade-offs on the smaller policies: TruStage's term premiums rise every five years, and the guaranteed issue policies limit the death benefit early on: Fidelity Life's is graded in years one to three, and TruStage's pays a return of premiums plus 10% in the first two years. See guaranteed issue life insurance: no health questions, with limits.

Reputation

Everyday Life's insurers are rated A- (Excellent) or better by AM Best on our profiles: Fidelity Life A (upgraded October 16, 2026), Banner Life A (March 2026), TruStage A (December 2025) and Assurity A- (November 2025). Everyday Life's own plans page still described Fidelity Life's and Assurity's ratings in older terms, so check the insurer profile for current figures.

We found no regulatory actions or lawsuits involving Everyday Life, Inc. in public sources. The company is small, and press coverage is limited to trade publications.

Who it suits

Everyday Life suits people who want to research and buy on their own, see a price before handing over contact details, and qualify for no-exam coverage, including older buyers looking at final expense or guaranteed issue whole life. It suits less well people who want a broad comparison across many insurers, since its published panel is four insurer groups, or who need very large or complex coverage that requires full underwriting.
